With the South Atlantic divisional competition for Best of Belron on Sept. 17, these nine Safelite technicians have been hard at work training. Learn a little bit about each of the competitors who will be participating in the Orlando event:

Jesse Bennett – Tampa

A former granite installer, Jesse Bennett has been with Safelite® for the past three years. He plans on memorizing proper procedures and using them on installations to prepare for the competition. Bennett is married and has a 13-year old daughter. He enjoys fishing and watching football.

Zach Goldring - DC

Zach Goldring, who has been with Safelite® for just over five years, is a wine connoisseur and plays guitar. His passion for his work and his attention to detail make him confident he will succeed in Safelite’s Best of Belron®.

Chris Gordon - Richmond, VA

Richmond market winner Christopher Gordon is in his third year with Safelite® and says he enjoys meeting people from all walks of life.

Gordon says he’ll train for the competition by treating all his jobs like he’s being judged.

Dave Houghtaling - Philadelphia

This will be Dave Houghtaling’s second visit to the South Atlantic division competition.
The married father of four loves maintaining his lawn and would someday love to help maintain the field of his favorite team – the Philadelphia Phillies.

Michael Jordan – Chesapeake/Virginia Beach, VA

A seven-year Safelite® veteran, Michael Jordan has four children and six grandchildren.

Jordan says his most memorable install came on a 1968 Corvette convertible and that he’ll prepare for the competition by practicing and treating each job as if he’s being judged.

Eric Pilato - Miami

Eric Pilato has only been with Safelite® for a year, but has more than 30 years of vehicle glass experience, beginning when he was 15.

The married father of three sons, Pilato is originally from Port St. Lucie, Fla. and volunteers at area addiction rehabilitation facilities in his spare time.

Gary Riebesehl - Orlando

A 12-year Safelite® veteran, Gary Riebesehl is training for the South Atlantic division competition by keeping a copy of the technician assessment in his van and one at home.

Riebesehl enjoys camping, canoeing and cooking in his spare time.

Brian Searle - Orlando

Brian Searle has been in the vehicle glass business for 26 years, beginning at the age of 15 while working for his father’s company.

Searle plans to prepare for the competition by memorizing procedures and making sure he is up to date on proper installation policies.

Married with a 10-year old son, Searle is an avid golfer, swimmer and landscaper.

Thomas Wall - Baltimore

Father of three and grandfather of nine, Thomas Wall has been with Safelite® for 26 years and is 37-year-veteran of the vehicle glass industry.

A classic car lover, Wall restored and modified his 1950 Hudson street rod.

Good luck everyone!
