The week you’ve been waiting for is finally here. The Safelite Best of Belron competition is well underway, and the first division competition will be happening this Saturday in San Diego.

Here are some highlights about the competitors:

Sal Becerra – Pico Rivera, Calif.
They say the third time is the charm. Sal Becerra is hoping this is true for Safelite® technicians. Becerra, who has been with the company for 22 years, won his division in the 2008 competition and missed the cut by less than a point in 2010. He’s hoping to take it all this year and make it to Barcelona.

Brad Dedmon – Bakersfield, Calif.
After nearly 20 years of experience in the vehicle glass industry, Brad Dedmon, the father of two is confident this year is his time to win Safelite’s Best of Belron®. Dedmon enjoys weight lifting and owns two muscle cars a 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle and a 1967 Chevrolet Nova. Dedmon is originally from Clovis, Calif.

Angel Chavez-Portillo- Ontario, Calif.
This self-proclaimed perfectionist is naturally competitive and has been preparing for Safelite’s Best of Belron® for the past month leading up to the competition. Chavez-Portillo is a married father of one son and a huge football fan. His favorite team is the New England Patriots. Chavez-Portillo is native to the Ontario area and has been with Safelite® for four years.
